Oh, Don't recall that one T...

I think of 'Knock Three Times' and Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree' when I think of Tony Orlando and Dawn.

Those two were massive hits over here.

Jerry Butler had the original hit under the title "He Will Break Your Heart".

"He don't love you - like I love you
If he did he wouldn't break your heart
He don't love you - like I love you
He trying to tear - us apart..."

'Let It Be' was a film as well wasn't it?

Who could forget that scene on the top of a Saville Row building, when they sang 'Get Back'..

I remember that on the screen... incidently my mom Loved the Beatles and was quite sad when they broke up... I remember that she got into Neil Diamond, Credence Clearwater Rival, (CCR) and Janis Joplin. She liked Bachman Turner Overdrive and Mot the Hoople (spell). My mom was cool, at least I thought so... she passed away at a young 67 in June 2004. Miss her...

When streaking became a national fad Ray Stevens topped the charts with his novelty hit 'The Streak' in 1974.

So did I !....Ray Stevens made some good records - 'Bridget the midget' , 'Everything is beautiful', 'Turn your radio on' and 'Misty' were all UK hits.
'The streak' is the only record I know with the name 'Ethel' in it!

My favorite Ray Steven's song is "It's Me Again, Margaret" - about a 'sort of obscene' phone caller obsessed with poor ol' Margaret.

I bought Misty and Everything is Beautiful.

This day in musical history in 1979 Elton John played the first of a series of concerts in Leningrad and Moscow, becoming the first Western rock star to play in the USSR.
