Didn't realise she was out of retirement and doing shows.
I saw her some years ago but you needed the screens to really see her as it was in a stadium and I refuse to do that again, I'm like Dusty in that respect I prefer the smaller intimate atmosphere of a theatre or hall.
If I want to see someone on a screen I watch a dvd !
No I haven't Brian. I had only thought a while back how much I regretted not seeing her perform live.
I've got really good seats as well so should be able to see her in all her glory. Certainly won't need my binoculars this time . Getting excited already .
Janie - you are in for a TREAT. I've seen Tina many times over the years, firstly as 'The Ike & Tina Turner Review' in the sixties and seventies. These shows were most incredibly exciting with The Ikettes going wild with their dancing behind Tina Tina in those days was really 'the hardest working lady in showbusiness'. After going solo Tina's shows became more 'rock'n'roll' than rhythm & blues, but each time I saw her - she was better than the time before! Now, she's pushing 70, but don't expect a 'rocking-chair granny'....she will amaze you with her vitality. As Howard Tate once sang -"Look at granny run" !
