I'm always a bit amused when our British friends wish us a Happy 4th of July or Happy Independence Day, as we are celebrating our independence from you guys!

Hey you know I love all of ya!

Had a very nice Independence Day with a party at my house. Everyone left about 30 minutes ago and the day just flew by. We were quite lucky with the weather, as this is the rainy season in Florida this time of year. All we had was a quick passing 15 minute shower with the sun still out.

The house is shaking as everyone in the neighborhood seems to be shooting off fire works right now.

Hope you folks had a great day! By the time we gave you lot up we'd taken most of the trees from the East Coast and we'd taxed you as much as we could. It was time you gave us the boot. I'm so glad we're still buddies. Gawd bless America!

So... What did the Party consist of Marty?

Drink, drink, and more drink?..

Glad you had a good time.

A traditional 4th of July BBQ Carole. hot dogs, hamburgers, sweet Italian sausages with fried peppers and onions, bratwurst, all sorts of salads, ice cream, cherry and apple pie, watermelon and toasted marshmellows. Of course there were drinks of the alcoholic and non alcholic kind. I had way too much food and froze some of it and two of my friends came for a little BBQ today! This morning two other friends phoned to let me know that they had a wonderful time, so I felt very pleased.
