Lip synching abit haywire, but well worth a watch, if its only to see a reprise of the HISNAH wig, and Burt's histrionics at the piano. He looks like he's got acute sea sickness.
Anyways, here it is:

It's still wonderful, haywire lip synching or not! All three are at their very best. Wouldn't it have been wonderful if Dusty did a Lennon/McCartney album with these tracks included :)). I remember recently reading that with the political climate (for a lack of a better words), that the Beatles material is not meant for Dusty as she wasn't managed by Brian Epstein, not sure if there is any truth to it, but can see where it can be possible so. Kind of sad :(

As every Britgirl of note besides Dusty recorded Beatles' songs I can't imagine Epstein would have blocked Dusty - & at the risk of sounding callous he certainly couldn't have done it after August of 1967. Madeline Bell did cut You Won't See Me which suggests it was first offered to & passed on by Dusty. I imagine most of Dusty's fans can think of several Beatles' songs Dusty could have worked her magic on to good effect - offhand I'd mention For No One & In My Life - but her seeming disinterest in cutting Beatles' material was probably just what it seems. Perhaps she was too focussed on American music to think of covering her countrymen's songs. Or perhaps she personally just didn't care for the Beatles' songs or at least thought they wouldn't be right for her. |

No way! How could anyone not care for The Beatles songs? I think she would have done 'For No One' amazingly too

Well I'm certainly not insisting Dusty didn't care for the Beatles' songs. But it's a possibility - Dusty did have quite particular taste in music. Certainly she did turn down songs her fans would have loved to hear her sing. |

Well that's a matter of opinion James - altho certainly chartwise Anne's You Won't See Me did impressively being one of her four top 10 hits (surprisingly small number for such a big star). And I believe John Lennon cited Anne's You Won't See Me as his fave Beatles' cover. Anne certainly had no reservations about dipping in the Fab 4's catalogue: the follow-up to You Won't See Me was a bluesy take on Day Tripper & she later cut a string-laden balladic version of I'm Happy Just to Dance With You. Perhaps covering better known Beatles' songs was a mistake - neither single had any significant impact. |

I've uploaded the complete Beatles medley to Sendspace. It has some advantages over the one that's already on Youtube: it's ONE big file, with a possibly bigger size to look at, and I hope it's better in sync. The only drawback may be that you have to sit through Mireille Mathieu's "Yesterday".
