Anyone catch the concert by Duffy on BBC1 last night?
She came across as a singer who really COULD sing live. The 'live' versions of 'Mercy' and 'Warwick Avenue' were superb.
Duffy doesn't yet have much stage presence, but give her time.

I've seen her on the Jools Holland Show, Brian... Frighteningly I think it was around last Christmas!(Surely not!)..
But she was brilliant... She sang 'A Little Piece Of My Heart' on that occasion.

Didn't see it, but I think she sounds too squeaky like she's on helium, and her voice sounds kinda forced to me. I do like the songs 'Stepping Stone' and 'Rockferry' though.

I agree with Sara and Chris for now but I think she'll get better. For now I can't stand her piercing voice but I like 'Mercy'.
