Yes! That's coz Sandy was the one who realized that Miss Brodie ran her life like the God of Calvin and then she betrayed her...you totally have to read the book, explains it better.
Bambs, I love Maggie Smith, she is an awesome actress! That scene where she was talking about her lover and the ponte vecchio bridge, that was powerful stuff, makes your stomach just flip!
The line I always loved was "try and do as I say Sandy, not as I do" ...I totally wish I had teacher like Miss Brodie, at least it'd be interesting...just maybe without the whole fascism thing.

Al, I really loved that movie! It kind of shocked me when I realized what Jean Brodie was trying to do with that little girl & her ex-lover, Teddy. I think what shocked me was the fact that it was the 60's when that movie was made & it had that kind of material in it. Still, it blew me away, I totally watched the movie in awe. Especially when Sandy got vengeful & started working on taking Miss Brodie out! That's when it really hooked me!
I also adored the accents! I totally fell in love with the Edinburgh accents! I really liked the way Sandy transformed as well. The way she went from meek & mild little school girl, to grown up & mature little high school vixen with an agenda. She really nailed that part!
But I did not know it was a book as well! Thank you for letting me know that, I must look for it.
What other kind of old movies do you like, Alice? I loved The Hustler with Paul Newman, I also loved Rebel Without A Cause....*Gasps* James Dean was one hot piece of meat!!! He has always been one of my heros!

Bambs...I have seen all of them! I LOVE film, and my mother never liked what she calls "modern films" so I grew up watching all the classics.
Totally know what you mean..."I didn't betray you...I put a stop to you" evil little vixen wasn't she. And the accent "you gells are my life now". Yeah, it's based on a book, it's only like 150 pages or something, but when I first read it, it really made an impression on me.

OMG! Me again...speaking of Maggie Smith, I just realized, Harry Potter 6 opens on July 15! For someone who got upset on their 11th birthday coz Hagrid didn't come...this is a big deal!

Dude, you eat bacon sandwiches?! OMG are you for real?! I can't believe someone else eats them, I usually get up around midnight or 2 or 3 in the A.M. & fry me up some bacon, slap some mayo on two pieces of bread & go to town!
Harry Potter's opening on the 15th, huh? Oh Lord, I'm going to have to take my mama to see it. I've taken her to see the last 3 that came out in theaters. Lol, when I took her to see The Order Of The Phoenix, we're sitting in the theater in our seats & we got through the first hour of it. Well, all of a sudden the white alarm lights start flashing & going off like crazy, you know the fire alarm? So they start evacuating the entire building! I'm sittin' there FREAKIN' the hell out, my imagination has always gotten the best of me, it just runs wild, been like that my whole life. Well, I'm frantic & scrambling, trying to get my mama & my son out of there 'cause I'm thinking some terrorist has planted a bomb in the Tinsletown Theater in Monroe, Louisiana! I just KNEW we were gonna get blown up!
Turns out it was some teenage kid being "funny".....

Well it wasn't exactly wild Alice...I think the only thing that was, was the large pink and purple feather bower I acquired!  I was only missing a feather headdress and one would have fitted in quite nicely on the chorus line.
I also like bacon sarnies, though the thought of eating one yesterday was out of the question ...feeling much brighter today though.

Mmmmm....you know what the best is Bambs!!??! Bacon with lettuce, tomato, and Brie cheese or Camembert on baguette...YUM!
Yeah, I'm like that too, if something small happens I create these epic stories in my head to explain it. That's why I like things like HP so much, fantasy!
I've never forgotten, last year, was in a big shopping complex with my mum and I went to another store to get something and the fire alarm went off, and there were fire fighters running in, I didn't have my phone and everyone was running on the the street. Turns out it was just a small fire in the back of a shop or something and I found my mummy waiting by the car for me once they let us back in...but for a while I was so worried!

The one and only reason I had to crawl into the house was because my feet were hurting from a combination of being on them all night, and the fact that some idiot smashed a glass on the floor next to me- luckily not all of it went in my shoes, as it could have been a lot worse!

Dude, I just found out my cousin's eat up with cancer. She just got rid of breast cancer, she just finished up with chemo & all that. Now it's come back....
It's in her liver & lungs. I don't know what stage it's in nor have they given her a time frame of how long she's got, but it's bad.
