This is the first time in 2 days that I've got back on here. Spent the weekend feeling ill, (but still went out for an Xmas do with my friends anyway 'cos I couldn't let them down) and then spent ALL day yesterday and early hours of this morning chucking my guts up- too much information I know! I think it's either a bug or something I ate at the weekend. Feeling slighty better now, and so am doing my upmost to keep myself busy as I hardly did anything yesterday.
Hoping everyone else is ok too.

Still can't shake it completely, my sinuses are still a bit stuffed up and the cough lingers, but still MUCH better. How is everyone else doing?

We are all falling to pieces on this site Marty!
Colds do seem to linger for what seems an age & apparently you will only catch a virus that you haven't had before. So you most likely wont get it back, but you could pass it on to someone else. My auntie swears by a spoonful of blackcurrant jam in hot water for coughs. (old wives tale I think)

| Gill, I was just telling xela that it seems everyone on the DSN is falling apart! I also told her, however, thank God we are all falling apart together! Poor Janie's having her operation, umpteen people have the flu or a cold, xela included, poor ol' Gill got in that horrible wreck & everything, & I have an evil tooth that is broke off in my gums & I have to have it pulled. Lol, I'm starting to think we ain't gonna make it...XOXO |

If its of any concelation and I don't think it will be I need dental treatment also following my accident. Its the pits.

We had our Christmas today because my son came over and it was a blast! he's 15 and lives with his dad so I don't get to see him that often, we let him open his presents because we wont see him on Christmas day. We have all bought him clothes to make up and outfit and it was well funny because we made him model them!
He looked well cool.
Yes its Christmas eve tomorrow but theres no presents under our tee its seems ever so strange, it must be the first year this has happened, with having the accident I have given the children money and they have bought their own presents and I'm not about to wrap up what they have bought.
At the very least there will be nothing to take back to the shops Lol.

I'm sorry you didn't get a traditional Christmas, Gill, but at least you got to see your boy & ya'll were together & had fun. Also, lol, like you said, they got what they wanted. I know how ya feel, though. Every year since I popped out we have gone to my memaw's for Thanksgiving & Christmas, well, we did until I was 17. I always looked forward to it & always got so excited I couldn't stand it. It wasn't about the presents or the lights or anything. My favorite thing of all was sitting around with my family laughing & talking, then we'd sit in this huge circle & exchange gifts. Lol, when I was 15 I'd sneak outside with my big cousin Cindy Lee & sip on vodka without my memaw knowing. *Sighs*. Now everyone's scattered & moved away & no one comes for Christmas or Thanksgiving, I get kinda bummed around the holidays now. If it wasn't for my husband & babies I'd be damn near suicidal around the holidays. I miss the rest of my family so much, we've always been a big, tight knit clan & I never see them now.
Anyway, so far this holiday has been good, I'm happy :).

Hehe!
Nope, the snow is still here Bev. In fact it has been so cold here that there are penguins outside my house with fur coats on! It's lovely to look at, but dreadful to get about in (the snow I mean!). I used to get very excited....now I'm just fed up with it .
