No, what's a mystery is how the hell they let idiots have their own record contracts! Like rap artists? I just don't see how in the hell they give someone named "Young Jeezy" a chance to sing a song called "Da Stanky Leg"! WTF?!

"I don't know what it is that makes me love you so/I only know I never wanna let you go/You started something/Oh can't you see/That ever since we met you had a hold on me/It happens to be true/I only wanna be with you"

No, Al, lol, it's not a joke. It's an actual song, my dear! I heard it at 3 in the morning one day. I'll try to find it on You Tube & I'll send it to you.

Feeling rather smug, having now finally de-frosted with the help of a nice cuppa tea. Won't be venturing out for the rest of the day, but sympathy to those who do...it's COLD!!!

Dude, I was watching this 1967 movie with Peter Sellers called "Murder By Death" & it had Maggie Smith in it. And I swear, she looked so much like Dusty in some scenes! Now, I don't know, it could just be me. I could just be trippin', but I saw Dusty in Maggie.

Sleep deprivation now in full swing. Was up at 3:45am this morning...couldn't sleep. That, and the fact that we were out on our stall at the car boot by 6am selling off some of our stuff. Sold quite a bit, not sure on the total profit yet though but it should be good.

...The things you have to do when times are hard and friends are few eh?

I'm having a really awful day. I think I caught a chill on Monday and I'm just coming down with it. What's worse is that I'm being given a bad enough time by somebody at work. Heavy handed and always right. Just when I was about to hit rock bottom, I heard the first notes of Son of a Preacherman. Gave me a smile and lifted my spirits straight away. Don't think any other song could have done it better. Or maybe let's day any other artist. Aw. 90 minutes to home time.

I'm all right now, thank you. I'm at home, sitting next to my wonderful husband so all is (sort of) forgotten. There's just this person at work and she is driving me mental with her "I'm always right and do as I say" attitude.

I tell you what, do you know if she skates or rollerblades or anything like that? 'Cause I could say the next time you see her in the park rollerblading you could throw a stick in front of her blades & down she goes! Lol, I know, I'm horrible. Or you could offer to fix her a cuppa coffee & poor a whole bunch of salt in it & just tell'er "hhhhmmm, sorry, mine tasted fine".

Sorry you had such a bummer of a day.....but Dusty sorted you right out, didn't she :)?

Yeah, the 8th year anniversary ain't too far away, it still breaks my heart. Every time I see something about it or hear about it it still feels like it just happened yesterday. It sure as hell don't feel like 8 years. It's also the main reason we're screwed today, it started the worst war & now everyone hates America. I wish all of this would've never happened, it's not fair, man. No one deserves to be going through any of this.....

Two days in a row now I've been painting...certainly puts the song, 'Whiter Shade Of Pale' into context!

Nobody has to put up with this anymore, tell her to back off.

Harassment in the work place is vry much frowned upon nowadays.

Bambi not everyone hates America please don't think that. I think it's a wonderful place.

9/11 didn't just affect the States we were all shocked by it, I certainly hope in my lifetime I never hear of anything so evil and wicked again.

Wonder when the clocks go back? October isn't it? Hurrah, an extra hour in bed...though that won't make much difference to me!

Hey Karl, thanks for the kind words, it's nice to know that some folks still like us. But of course, how could ya'll not like America knowing now that I'm here ? Lol, I'm kidding. Naw, I just get a little down-hearted these days because America used to be the greatest country in the world, & to me it still is, but the world sees us very differently now & it breaks my heart because they're too right. I mean as patriotic as I have always been I've started to doubt my patriotism. I will always be proud of my country & will always be proud to be an American, but I can't ignore what's been going on & the way our government has run things all these years... especially over the last several years. We get judged because our government is screwed up & that's all people see. No one sees how beautiful we still are & they have stopped seeing the good side of things.

But it still doesn't stop everyone from trying to come over illegally, does it? Don't get me wrong now, I think people should be given a chance & should be able to have the choice to live out their dream like we do.....but they shouldn't break the law to do it.

Anyway, I heard that my sister-in-law got 40 years in prison today for the robberies & violation of probation. My paw-in-law ain't doin' too good. Life just keeps gettin' better.....XOXO

40 Years for robberies? My God, was she using a gun? That seems a really harsh sentence Bambi.

I was in the States just weeks before 9/11 and I was back the following year and attended a memorial service in Ohio on the first anniversary. I thought it was very moving that so many people had flags outide their homes, on their cars, in teh bars, on bridges etc as that is something that is never done here. However I was told by my family that most Americans are not always so patriotic, however I know from what I've seen that the majority of Americans are proud fo their country. I even bought the label pins with the joint US/UK flags over there and brought them back for a few people.

As you say Bambi we are all proud of the countries we live in but most of the time we have to suffer the a******s who are running our countries!!! Running them into the ground!
