It's been pretty cold here today, I thought it was going to snow last night but it managed to hold off.
Minus 5 tonight, it is currently warmer in Moscow than it is here.

Lol, good god Gill(say that 5 times fast)! You sound like my mama, she's an ebay nut. I'm shocked she didn't buy the house that we live in on ebay.

I'm about to lose my cool with Barnes & Noble, if it hadn't been for Jen I wouldn't be getting the book of Dusty poems. Hell, I had to re-order Queen of The Post-Mods. I cussed them out, too. Amazon cancelled my order for the book of poems because they'd sold the last copy to someone else AFTER I'd purchased it. Then, the morons at Barnes & Noble cancelled my order for QOTPM because, supposedly, my debit card didn't go through. My payment method was declined.....yet, they refunded the money that they never got? Goof-tards....

Ebay, what a blast huh, I normally give all my stuff to charity to be honest, but I had no car to get it to the shop so it got sold.
Its a bit hit and miss I find and the postage costs do my head in.
I walk round the house looking for things to sell LOL.
I now realize what a mug I have been, giving stuff away all the time, my son only buys designer clothing, his trainers cost £100 etc and he throws them in the bin when he's fed up of waring them. All his gear is as new, so in future they will go on the net.
Sorry to hear you having problems Bambi but it looks like you have gained in the process. Frustrating stuff eh.
I'm looking out for a nice picture of Dusty, I don't know if there will be any to purchase on Dusty Day so I'm not rushing into things, I may have a bit more money to spend by then if I keep this up. Cross Fingers.

Gill x

The garage has sent me a courtesy car and now the insurance company have sent me one too, yes they obviously do not talk to one another, I don't know which one to go out in LOL.
The insurance company sent the garage a cheque for my new replacement vehicle and this has gone astray!
My car is ready for delivery but they need payment, hence the courtesy cars! so do I jump in the 207 or the Corsa in the morning? (Gill thinking out loud) a week ago I couldn't get a car I wasn't entitled. Bet my neighbor's are twitching curtains & wondering whats going on.
The daft thing is when these go back I will get my own and thats different again. I will be the talk of the estate.
One is petrol and the other diesel, could be interesting at the pump huh!

Okay, Gill, which one looks cooler? Always go with the cooler looking car. Go with the one that makes you look good sitting in it. If all else fails, darlin', you have to be pimpin'....

Oh I cant make my mind up which one to drive, Ive got three now!
My new car arrived today and is sat in my drive, the red 207 is pretty cool its the estate (family car)with all the gadgets, however the Corsa has a better sound system. So its a mixed bag.
The Corsa and the 207 will go back tomorrow, so it will make my mind up for me. I must admit I am impressed with the Corsa, the handling is great for a small car, just don't like the indicator stalk, the sound system on the 207SW could have been better, my car has a clunky gear stick.
For looks I prefer my car, it has 5 miles on the clock & it smells very new! they have a pimped up version in the garage which looks fab but I like to blend in and alloy wheels would get taken on my street. I'm not saying its rough but if it can be weighed in it walks.

Yeah very much, we have quite a lot of travellers in our neck of the woods, kind of Irish Gypsies, they are great and we dont have trouble here. They do like their scrap and its big money over here these days, so anything I get I leave out for them, I wouldnt like to tempt them with my car lol,,
The one thing I like about them is they have pride, I was chatting to a couple of them in the street one day and one of their lads came by & swore in front of us, well they pulled him to pieces. I know the lad swore but I felt so sorry for him.
I once asked them to do a job for me and paid them & they spat on the money, im not sure what this meant or whether it is some sort of a tradition to bring them luck.
Maybe someone on here could enlighten me?

They spit on the money? Did they take the money? If they took they money, well, I have no earthly clue. If they didn't take it then that means you most likely insulted them seeing as how Gypsies have alot of pride. They sound alot like us, what with the kids swearing & everything. We don't allow things like that to go on, we'll also beat them within an inch of their lives if they disrespect their elders. It's not being mean nor is it abuse, that's what's wrong with all of the little heathens today! All these kids abusing their parents & going to boot camp because they're unruly. I'd have picked my teeth up off the floor if I'd have talked to my mama like'at.

They took the money then spat on it.
We are not allowed to hit or abuse our kids in the UK, the children have a right to report violence and can get parents locked up.
I think that the authorities are now seeing the results of their actions. Children Power.
I don't know about child abuse but parent abuse is well on the increase over here. I would love to send my daughter to boot camp.
My home is Boot Camp for her LOL thats why she chooses not to come home.

Just thought I'd put down what I know re. the spitting on the money :

Hebrews used to (and maybe still do!) spit on money collected for the first sale of a day believing it would bring good business for the rest of the day. Some people spit on money received as a protective measure otherwise that money (and any other they have at the time!) won't be with them for very long!!

Maybe in the current economic climate we should all give it a go!

Yeah, the laws on "abuse" is the same over here. We're not supposed to hit our kids either....we just don't listen abide by that law. I will drop dead before I let my kids run wild & become little hellians. Not on my watch, no ma'am. There's a huge difference between discipline & abuse, we discipline our children. Lol, when I was 10 I threatened my mama about calling social services because she whipped me for disobeying her. She said "I dare ya, go ahead & call'em. You just thought I hurt you, you call child welfare on me & I WILL beat you to death!". Needless to say I didn't call. But, I refuse to see my kids turn out like all of the kids today. I mean, we can only teach them & raise them the best we know how, what they choose to do when they are older & know right from wrong is all on them. Still, I don't care how old they are or how big they get...I'll pick up a stick beat'em senseless if they do somethin' stupid.
