Well, its 16th April in many parts of the world........Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien, would have been 70 years old today.
I hope you know, Ms Sprinngfield, just how much you are missed and loved, not only by those who knew you personally, but by the many legions of fans to whom you have given so much over the decades.........

Following Dusty ever since I first heard "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" has changed my life and that is no understatement. Following our gal has been such a big part of my life in more ways than one, particularly bringing me many wonderful friendships with lovely people from all over the world. I cannot imagine life without her.

I want to recognize Ms. Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien
"Dusty Springfield" the one and only on the occasion of her 70th birthday. Such a wonderful and talented being. Just think we are all alive to experience the singing, photos, books, etc of such a talented woman from the 20th century. A special time in history indeed.

Being such a significant day today it seemed only fitting that the great lady herself had some visitors so I met up with Janice, Jen and Tere in Henley to do the honours  :
