I've painted and drawn Dusty a few times over the years.

In acrylics.

In watercolours.

And collage/pen.

Thank you guys, glad you like them. Yeah I don't particularly enjoy painting hands, they can be tricky, but Dusty's turned out alright. I've got some more artwork on myspace.com/livmachine if you fancy having a look.

Maybe you can give me some tips on how to draw lips! honestly I have been trying my best to get lips & expression right for the last couple of months... not easy...I'm in the main doing pencil pictures so that I can rub out my mistakes of which there are many... but Im getting there, they say practice makes perfect huh. "Wonderful pictures of Dusty btw" they are all quite amazing...

With drawing lips I always start with the line of the mouth, I try to get that right first before drawing the top lip and then the bottom. But I have drawn for years now and it's true that you just have to keep drawing to sharpen up hand to eye co-ordination. If drawing from a picture it sometimes helps to look at the picture upside down, then you are more likely to see a series of shapes rather than a face.

I tried this out last night... I must admit I shocked myself... omg I could see instantly what you mean by turning the picture up-side down... It makes complete sense to me... they are puckering up quite nicely.... thats all I'm going to be drawing for the next week or two! LOL... Thanks ever so!
