I've been listening to a a polish group lately called 'Dwa plus Jeden' ( which means two plus one in polish) they sound a tiny bit like ABBA to be honest. I've been listening to Chodz Pomaluj Moj Swiat ( come and colour my world) and it is gorgeous. I've also been getting back in to my habit of being utterly obsessed with Vera Lynn and have been listening to the songs 'Goodnight','The fool on the hill'and 'it hurts to say goodbye' constantly.

"Gimme a vhiskey" - Greta Garbo.

If men can be categorised for their looks on a scale of 1 to 10, they can be graded for their sexual prowess, A to F.

Amy I recently bought a few of Vera Lynn's cd's.

In the 70's I bought her single called "When (Don't You Remember) and it's now on a singles 2cd set, it's fantastic and she holds the note forever at the end. There was so much more to Vera than White Cliffs Of Dover. She also did some great albums near the end of her career singing Abba songs etc.

Two cd's that are 'power plays' in this household at the moment are - Faye Adams -The Herald Recordings (fab American R & B/Blues from the fifties), and a new release on Ace Records from The Shirelles - Tonights the night/Sing to trumpets and strings - great girl group stuff from the early sixties

It's number one in the UK singles chart at the moment - I HATE IT!...and to think it knocked the fabulous 'All summer long' off the top spot

I finally found the music for "Two Brothers", in a music book for the Irish tin whistle. Sounds prettier played on the whistle than it does on the fife.

Anyway ~~~~~ Listening to: "Tribute to Ray Charles" by The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw (Holland) featuring Ms Madeline Bell on vocals. That woman shure can saaaaannnng!!

The songlist on the 'Tribute To Ray Charles' CD is as follows:

Hallelujah I Love Him So
Unchain My Heart
Let The Good Times Roll
Mess Around
Georgia
Hit The Road Jack
Let's Go
Hard Times
What'd I Say
Strike Up the Band
