OK we've had a number of "what's your favourite" recently so how about selecting what you think is the worst song Dusty ever recorded? .....or should I say least favourite
If we can keep it to 60's and early 70's (upto Cameo) to make it slightly more difficult I guess.

Most of the DIM bonus tracks.
I'll get back to you with the titles.
...and I don't like Dusty's version of Close To You, doesn't hold a candle to the Carpenters version
Plus 'You've Got A Friend, I prefer James Taylors version.
Lastly... 'Make it with you', I prefer Breads version.

I disagree Dave, "What Did She Know About Railways" is so Dusty and her goony sense of humour. She had unbelievable timing with comdey spoofs!

Pandy I found it a bit surprising that you seem to dislike the performance so much. It's not one of my favorites, nor one of my least favortes either.
I don't especially care for what she is wearing, except the boots are cool. Wonder whatever happened to those boots? (hmmm...I'm thinking Dusty Day Auction if they are still around). Sorry to have become a bit side tracked here.

Well, to be honest, I found myself having a bit of a laugh... it is not quite right (I just viewed a number of her 60's and an RAH number and then saw this. I don't think I'm alone in these feelings... but to each his own... besides I really don't believe I am coming across as "dislike the performance so much"... nighty, night. I suppose it's not what I'm used to from this fab singer.

Dusty sang At Midnight on several shows and did a great version on a Dutch tv show.
There aren't that many songs that I dislike but I have to go with the following, also we should not be restricted to any era:-
Love Me By Name Mama Said Something Special Occupy Your Mind
Sandra is a fantastic song and Dusty performed that At Drury Lane and it was even better than the record. |

This is FAR more difficult than picking a favourite!...however the one I dislike most is 'Earthbound Gypsy' (sorry Marty!). I have never liked this. Also songs that do nothing for me are 'Sandra', 'Love me by name', 'Sweet lover no more' and..shock horror - 'Wishin' & hopin'

Re The At Midnight performance...
I take no pleasure in saying I find it is poor, weak song, made worse by Dustys terrible outfit and 'Dad 'dancing,
In fact, I think she knew it too.
I'm not too keen on songs that have to be padded out with shrieks of "WOO!" all the time.

Carole you have to admire Dusty for performing songs other than her big ballady style. At Midnight is a dance song which I think is very catchy, as I said the performance here is NOT her best and she stumbled a but during her dance routine - however she performed it brilliantly on the Dutch show along with YDHTSYLM & Quiet Please There's A Lady Onstage.
Dusty was never boring and always kept up to date with musical styles. |

No problem Brian, it's not one of my favorite songs either, nor least favorite, I just thought it would be a cool user name. If I had known there was someone else using the title, I would have went with Baby Blue, which I use on another forum.
