I meant to put this on the day, but forgot! I have seen this loads, and love it! It's Dusty and Cilla duetting on a song called,'Heart and Soul' in 1993 (I think). You may have seen it before, but I thought I'd share it with you as it is just great!.

This was a GREAT pop song - sung by two 'greats' from the sixties. The idea of getting these two together for a single was magic - and it told a story. Cilla's finest moment in 25 years?

Do you happen to know when this came out and if it charted at all Brian? I only know the song from catching the video and became instantly hooked- as you do with most songs! I think the break in the middle of the song is really funny, especially as both Cilla and Dusty show off their dancing skills! Sheer class.
I agree with you also, the lyrics do seem to reflect both of their journeys through the years and go on to show that they could still do it then!

The record crashed into the UK charts on 30th October 1993 at 75 ...then it crashed out again!
It deserved a much higher placing.
It was the single to promote Cilla's album 'Through the years' - the album to mark her 30th anniversary in the music business. That album made 41 on the UK album charts spending a whole 2 weeks there!!...Cilla's last chart entry.

Cilla's 2003 release Beginnings Greatest Hits & New Songs did place on the charts at no#68.

Heart & Soul's main recognition alas seems to have been the "honour" of The Chart Show's Worst Video of 1993 - Cilla's chipper reaction was: "Well at least we won something!" Apparently The Chart Show felt the H&S vid was bad enough to cover a two year period refraining from naming a subsequent worst vid until '95 - the recipient then being Denise Welch for her version of YDHTSYLM:
