Do you prefer Dusty as a blonde or a redhead Lately, I have been seeing more and more pictures of Dusty as a redhead. I really can't make up which hair color I like better.
What about everyone else?

| Dusty wasn't just blonde she was the most beautiful shade of ash blonde when I first saw her ( I was told that as I didn't know), but blonde definitely she really suited that. |

Red hair can look really nice! I've dyed my hair reddish before, and I tried to dye it proper red once but it went wrong and turned out pinky orange! I think her red hair suited her, but she probably felt more confident blonde, as Dusty.. So that probably made her happier so I'd say I prefer her blonde look too.. But she suited both I'd love to go blonde for a change but I'd look ridiculous! Damn mixed race genes!

Blonde looks good and suits her, but I like the reddish too. I like the blonde though... the fun is being able to experiment with different shades and colours...

Dusty copied her original look from a French film star.. Can't remember who, at the mo'.. but the blonde hair tied up with a black bow at the back, was a French look at that time...
It gave her confidence and added to her image.
So, even though I like red hair, Dusty needed to be blonde.

Gotcha. She "needed" to be blonde. It certainly suited her well.
About red-heads in general, I have always noted that the women tend to be quite spunky and lively... at least the ones I have met... high-spirited - That's it!

Blonde ...it suited her and contrasted well with the black mascara.

REDHEAD AND PROUD!!! Well I'm not as red as what Dusty used to be, infact, my hair I would say is more of a browny red which goes slightly blonder in the summer. Hard to show you all exactly, but I'll have to find a pic to show you. Like Dusty I also wear specs- although I know she ceased to wear them after a while! So you can imagine some of the stereotypical things I've had said to me in the past I have to say, given the choice, I would probably go blonde- although as my natural skin colour is quite light, it probably wouldn't suit. Anyone on here a hairdresser? Although the benefits of using a tanning solution to give my skin a wee bit of colour works wonders- not too much mind, I don't wish to resemble an orange!
As for Dusty? I think definitely the blonde worked best- and she certainly did have more fun!

Hi Motown Diva, Us blondes are are very fair skinned, so why don't you give it a try! I thought about going red, but never got the courage to actually do it!

Definitely Blonde!
It makes such a good contast in the black&white footage with her eyes.
I could be splitting hairs (sorry, I couldn't resist.. ), but from the colour images of Dusty I've seen from the 60's she seemed to change the shade of blonde...from platinum-blonde to warm gold-blonde and every other shade in-between. The up-keep for maintaining dark root-free blonde tresses must be tiring - and expensive!

Sort of paler brown I think Marty where Cilla is concerned.

Still think your statement is out of order, just what hair colour are YOU I wonder? [/quote] Oh yes I think I've got the right word. You reply was relevant to hair colour debate but as I said that I can't think of any women who WANT to be red haired, your response was to point out that you know some women who ARE red haired - that makes it IRREVERENT in my book...that is what I mean't even if my use of the word is proven to be wrong
......and you use my favourite AVATAR - if you ever think of changing it let me know.......[Now THAT! is irrelevant] |
