Karl, I think the lack of interest in the DSN is a result of a combination of things. For some reason when the Dusty communities fragmented, various individuals adopted a position 'anti' this site because they listened to a one sided diatribe. For example, one of our members who joined our site after meeting me at one of Katy's concerts really spelt it out for me - I had enjoyed many conversations with this person, sent him various Dusty recordings at my own expense and very much enjoyed welcoming him into the 'Dusty' world as I attempted to do with all new members during that time. Well, to cut to the chase, I was at Dusty Day a few years back and this particular man came up to me, bent down and whispered in my ear 'BITCH, I've heard what you've done'. To this day, however many years after the event, I'm still waiting for him to tell me what I've done - I was so shocked though and upset but I stopped beating myself up about such thing that the history of this site has shown me is that so many made judgement and acted on that judgement without knowing the full facts. I was deeply saddened for so long in that era - I had shown nothing but kindness to so many people (this man being a prime example) but on the word of other(s) with whom he, for example, had had much less communication with than with me, he and so many others chose to take sides and sadly the forum lost some standing. The DSN lost it's momentum and at a time when Facebook took a hold there was no way that it could be regained notwithstanding the fact that now, as a result of my involvement with the TV show many people have gone out of their way to meet/speak with me, all of that previous nonsense has been shown to be without content. I guess this is one of the huge problems of the computer age.
